🎱 PoolCaster

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

The short version

PoolCaster runs on your phone. We have no accounts, and we never receive your video, your audio or your match data. Anything you broadcast goes directly from your phone to the platform you chose.

We operate exactly one small server component, and only for linking a Facebook account. It is described in full below.

What we collect

Nothing. We collect no personal information, no analytics and no usage data, and we do not track you across apps or websites. We store no user data on any server.

What stays on your device

Camera and microphone

Used only while you are streaming, to capture and encode video and audio on the device. That stream is sent directly to the platform you linked. It never passes through us and is never stored by us.

Google and YouTube

If you link a YouTube channel, PoolCaster uses Google OAuth to request the youtube.force-ssl scope. It is used solely to read which channel you granted access to so the app can display it, and to create a live stream and live broadcast, bind them, and end the broadcast.

PoolCaster's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer this data to anyone, do not use it for advertising, and do not allow humans to read it. Tokens are stored only in the iOS Keychain on your device. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Meta and Facebook

If you link a Facebook destination, PoolCaster uses Facebook Login and the Live Video API to list the timeline and Pages you can broadcast to, create a live video and end it.

The Facebook auth broker

Facebook requires the final step of signing in — exchanging a one-time code for an access token — to be made from a server holding a secret that cannot safely be placed inside a phone app. PoolCaster therefore runs a single small service on Cloudflare Workers for that one step.

You can revoke access at any time in your Facebook settings under Apps and Websites. Removing the destination in the app deletes the stored token from your device.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us only anonymous, aggregated sales reporting.

Children

PoolCaster is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
