Scoring

Whoever is scoring gets the whole match on one screen — scores, who is at the table, and every ball still on it. Tapping a ball pockets it and it disappears from the broadcast overlay immediately. Undo and redo cover every action, so a mis-tap during a rack is never a problem.

Getting started

Both phones run the same app; you pick a role when you open it. They pair over Bluetooth and peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, so a pool hall with no usable network is not a problem — and the streaming phone carries the broadcast over cellular.

What Pro costsStreaming needs a subscription. Scoring never does.

Scoring from an Apple Watch

PoolCaster also runs on Apple Watch as a scoring companion, paired to the streaming phone over WatchConnectivity. Scores, the race target and who is at the table are all on the watch face, with undo — so you can keep score between shots without picking a phone up at all. The graphics on the live stream update from a tap on your wrist exactly as they do from the phone.

Like phone scoring, the Watch is free: only the phone doing the streaming needs a subscription.

Only the streaming phone needs Pro. If a friend is keeping score on their own phone, or you are scoring from your Watch, that side is free.
