The two phones won't pair

Both phones need Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switched on — they don't need to be joined to any network, but the radios must be enabled. Allow the Local Network permission when prompted; if you declined it, re-enable it in Settings → PoolCaster. Keep the phones within about 30 metres and both apps in the foreground.

Facebook says I can't go live

Since June 2024 Meta requires the broadcasting account to be at least 60 days old and have 100 or more followers. This is Meta's rule and applies to your Facebook account, not to PoolCaster.

My stream connects then drops after a few seconds

That usually means the platform isn't receiving usable media. Check that the microphone permission is granted — a stream with no audio track gets dropped — and try a lower bitrate. On cellular, 720p at 2500–3500 kbps is the reliable setting.

The scoreboard looks upside down in my stream

Turn on Stream Settings → Troubleshooting → Flip graphics vertically.

What does the subscription cover?

PoolCaster Pro unlocks streaming on the phone that's broadcasting: $4.99/month after a 1-week free trial. Scoring from a second phone or an Apple Watch is free and always will be — only the streaming phone needs a subscription.

How do I cancel?

Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions → PoolCaster Pro. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancelling during the free trial costs nothing.

Do I need a capture card or a laptop?

No. PoolCaster encodes and publishes the stream from the phone itself.
