Terms of Service

PoolCaster for Android · Last updated: 25 August 2026

These terms cover the Android app. PoolCaster on iOS is licensed under Apple’s standard End User Licence Agreement instead.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of PoolCaster (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the PoolCaster app and the small auth service described in our Privacy Policy. By installing or using PoolCaster you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

You must be old enough to hold an account with the platform you stream to — currently 13 or older for YouTube and Facebook, and older in some countries. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

2. What PoolCaster does

PoolCaster turns a phone into a broadcast scoreboard for 8-ball and 9-ball pool. It draws match graphics over your camera feed and sends the result to a live-streaming platform you have linked, such as YouTube or Facebook. A second phone, tablet or watch can be used to score the match.

Your broadcast goes directly from your device to that platform. It does not pass through us, and we do not record, store, host or moderate it.

3. Google Play

The Android app is distributed through Google Play. Google’s own terms govern the download and any purchase you make there. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app.

4. The platforms you stream to

PoolCaster is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, YouTube, Meta or Facebook.

When you link an account you remain bound by that platform’s own rules, and you are responsible for following them:

PoolCaster uses YouTube API Services. By linking a YouTube channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. You can revoke PoolCaster’s access at any time through your Google security settings, and remove a linked destination inside the app.

Those platforms can change their APIs, rate limits or policies, or suspend your account, at any time and without notice to us. If that stops PoolCaster working, we are not able to fix it on your behalf.

5. What you may not do

You are responsible for everything you broadcast. Do not use PoolCaster to:

We do not monitor broadcasts, and we cannot remove one for you — that is between you and the platform hosting it.

6. Your content

The tournament logo you upload, your player names and your match data stay on your device. We claim no ownership of them and we do not receive them.

You confirm you have the right to use any logo or artwork you add to a broadcast.

7. Subscriptions

Where PoolCaster offers a paid plan on Android, it is sold and billed through Google Play, not by us directly.

8. The app is provided as-is

PoolCaster is provided without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Live streaming depends on things outside our control: your network, your phone’s battery and temperature, and the platform you are streaming to. We do not guarantee that a broadcast will start, stay up, or be of any particular quality. Do not rely on PoolCaster alone for a broadcast you cannot afford to lose — for anything important, test the whole chain first and have a fallback.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost recordings, lost viewers, lost sponsorship or lost income arising from a failed or interrupted broadcast.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using PoolCaster at any time by uninstalling it. Removing a linked destination in the app deletes the access token held for it on your device. We may suspend or end your use of the app if you breach these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms. Where a change materially reduces your rights, we will give reasonable notice.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
